TAYLOR/FOLEY AIRPORT

The Perry-Foley Airport in Taylor County is located approximately three miles south of Perry and just west of U.S. 19 South on Industrial Park Drive.  The PFA is a War surplus airport, deeded to Taylor County at the end of WW II.  The airport currently occupies 900+ acres.  Ground access to the airport is via paved road running on the north side of the airport from US Highway 19 South.  PFA is listed in the Florida Aviation System Plan and National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) as a general aviation airport.

The existing runway system at the Perry-Foley Airport (PFA), consists of three paved runways which intersect at their ends to form a triangular configuration.  Runway 18-36 is a north-south oriented runway, Runway 12-30 runs northwest to southeast and Runway 6-24 runs northeast to southwest.

The Taylor County Airport Advisory Committee can be reached at 201 East Green St., Perry, Fl.  32347  Phone:  (850) 838-3549.  The contact person for the Board of County Commissioners is Barbara Bratcher or County Coordinator Jack Brown.  Courtesy transportation to and from the airport provided by area businesses.  Call the Chamber of Commerce at (800) 257-8881 or 850-584-5366 for local businesses offering courtesy-related services.

*In 1996, improvements to the Perry-Foley Airport included:  (FDOT) $709,037.57 in rehabilitation of runway 12-30, (OTTED) $671,078.69 in rehabilitation of runway 18-36, and (FDOT)  $1,553,028.16 in rehabilitation of taxiways.  Additionally, improvements were made to automated and directional lights.

*Runway statistics:  Runway 18-36 4,970 feet long, 150 feet wide, load limit - single wheel 22,000 pounds MGTW.  Runway 12-30  5,013 feet long, 150 feet wide, load limit - single wheel 22,000 pounds MGTW.  Runway 6-24  4,900 feet long, 150 feet wide, load limit - single wheel 30,000 pounds MGTW.
